Regis to round up Green and Gold Auction dollars

“Regis Wild West Round-up” is the theme of the  31st annual Regis Green and Gold Auction.

The dinner and auction begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16 at the high school.

A highlight of evening’s events is a  drawing for a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu LS, donated by Power Auto Group. Tickets for the Malibu are $100 each. Only 500 will be sold.

Regis Special Events Coordinator Gay Frank said the 2010 car represents the 20th one donated for the auction.

“In that time, the raffle itself has brought in $700,900,” Frank said.

Event chairs George and Chrissy Karakey said the proceeds from the auction and dinner help support education at Regis High School.

“This is a great evening with friends. There is something for everyone at this auction, with more than 600 items to choose from. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the evening and support the school,” Chrissy Karakey said.

Auction donations are still welcomed. To donate call Tami Brentano, 503-769-6971.

Invitations were mailed in September; those who have not received an invitation in the past and would like to attend can call Ron or Sue Bernt, 503-749-1935. The event operates solely through presale tickets.

For information on the auction itself call 503-769-6243 or go to www.regishighschool.net.
