Town Hall success for Friends of H2A

A booster club for Santiam Hearts 2 Arts has held a successful first meeting and plans to continue gathering monthly to discuss potential programs and outreach opportunities.

Friends of H2A held its first meeting Thursday, Oct. 19, at Stewart’s Hall, in Mill City, and plans to continue meeting the third Thursday of each month.

The introductory town hall meeting was Sept. 27, during which prospective members learned about the goals of the group and opportunities to volunteer.

Friends of H2A organizer Joyce Royland said the town hall was “a great success” with many residents in attendance and multiple individuals signing up to join.

“A lively discussion introduced prospective members, their backgrounds and interests, and demonstrated the interest in and potential for this new activity for people of the Santiam Canyon,” said Royland.

The stated goal of Friends of H2A is to discuss upcoming and ongoing H2A events and how members can volunteer, either by lending their expertise or simply spreading the word.

Members are also encouraged to consider possible new programs that could showcase their skillsets and interests.

For additional information or to join, contact Royland at [email protected] or through H2A’s website santiamh2a.org. Friends of H2A can also be found on Facebook.
